Thanks for helping Hospice this spring

Posted: Friday, July 11, 2008

Thank you for all of the efforts to benefit Hospice and Home Care at our annual Heart of Hospice Run at Twin lakes this spring! A special note of thanks is due to Tony and Lori Yorba, who worked very hard (again!) this year to organize the run. ★★CJ volunteers present to help were Don Cary, Kay Smith, Sally Caldwell, Trisha Cunningham-Young, Dale Young and Jan and Keith Levy. Co-sponsors Southeast Road Runners provided a large group of volunteers to help, including John Kremers, Dolly Kremers, Beth Potter, Nancy Thomas, Deb Craig, Bob Marshall, Sharon Buis, Susan Crandall, Wilson Engineering - Jeff Wilson and Joann Quigg, Scott Willis - Alaska Electric Light & Power Co., and Pat Harris. Thanks to Catholic Community Service staff Sara Chambers, Kathryn King, Jean Jasmine, Cameryn Flynn and Rosemary Hagevig, who all contributed.

Deep appreciation to our run sponsors goes to Valley Auto Parts, Jensen Yorba Lott, Elgee Rehfeld Mertz LLC, Chatham Electric Inc., Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, Bartlett Regional Hospital, Coastal Helicopters, Alaska Infusion Therapy Home Care Pharmacy, Family Practice Physicians, Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center, Ward Air Inc., Spickler/Egan Financial, Rosemary Hagevig and Catholic Community Service, Don Cary, Foggy Mountain Shop, Dean's Designs, Totem Properties Inc., Faulkner Banfield P.C., Baxter Bruce & Sullivan, Tailwind, Hangar on the Wharf, Action Appliance Repair, Mark Riederer DDS, Chapel by the Lake, T&T Realty and Alaska Marine Lines. Also, thanks to the media support of the Juneau Empire, KTOO's Jeff Brown and Andy Kline and TAKU 105's Jeff McCoy.

The support of the community makes the events that raise funds for in-home patient care successful, and Hospice and Home Care thanks everyone who participated!
