The Juneau Sports Association would like to thank its sponsors, supporters and volunteers for the donations, sponsorships and assistance during the Minda Chamberlin Memorial Coed Tournament and the 33rd annual Rainball Tournament held this month.
Alaskan Outdoor Wearhouse, Play It Again Sports, Marlintini's, Coca Cola, Northern Sales donated products and sponsorship to help JSA hold tournaments with first-class awards given to Champions in each division. We would like to recognize the stats keepers and the many scorekeepers who allow us to accurately name players to our all-tournament teams. Special recognition goes to Executive Director Lorri Wilson, who, in her first year, has been responsive to the association's needs and thoughtful in our efforts to provide a good program to our members.
We would like to thank businesses that sponsor teams year after year, such as Pat's Douglas Inn, Island Pub, Parts Plus, Taku Oil, Alaska Litho and Imperial Bar, just to name a few. Without these and many other businesses, adult softball in Juneau would not happen. JSA also is very thankful to its board members who volunteer hundreds of hours each year during our softball season and tournaments.
A big hand goes to the city Parks and recreation field maintenance crew that come out prior to 8 a.m. games and keep our fields maintained and safe for our players. And, thanks to Juneau Douglas Officials Association which provides us umpires each season. Special thanks to the traveling umpires that made the effort to work with our players.
