Juneu's Minors All-Star team swept its first two games over Ketchikan and Sitka on Friday and Saturday in Craig in convincing fashion.
The Minors romped to a 16-2 win over Ketchikan on Friday after opening up a 16-0 lead through four innings.
Ketchikan scored twice in the fourth but it wasn't enough as the game was called due to the mercy rule.
Michael Cesar led the attack after finishing 2-for-2 with a walk. Jacob Dale, Zeb Storie, Kasey Watts and Speier McCormick all had two hits for Juneau. Cesar got the start on the hill, holding Ketchikan scoreless in two innings. Storie, Bryce Swafford and Tyler Collins also shared time on the mound.
Wrangell beat Petersburg 17-7 in the first game on Friday.
Saturday, Juneau cruised to a 7-1 win over Sitka.
Storie was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Luke Mallinger went doubled, drew a walk and scored twice with one RBI. Cesar had two RBIs, and McCormick went 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored. Owen Mendoza added an RBI single.
Swafford, Storie, Bobby Cox and Kasey Watts all pitched for Juneau, who plays Monday against the winner of Pool A, which will either be Petersburg, Wrangell or Prince of Wales.
