Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A man, 30, and a woman, 24, were arrested at 3:20 a.m. today on North Franklin Street for theft of services and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vehicle accidents:

At 7:50 a.m. Wednesday on Egan Drive near Salmon Creek an Eagle Summit, driven by a woman, 34, caused a Mazda Protege, driven by a woman, 27, to rear-end it. The Mazda was then rear-ended by a Honda Civic driven by a woman, 21. The vehicles had a total of about $2,800 damage. The Eagle driver was given a verbal warning.

At 8:45 a.m. Wednesday near Main and Sixth streets a parked Jetta rolled downhill and struck a Toyota Camry, a Ford van, a Toyota Tercel and a fence, causing a total of $6,700 damage.

A man, 24, was cited at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Egan Drive and Mendenhall Loop Road for driving without a valid license and failure to maintain a safe distance following an accident involving a Pontiac and a Mercedes.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Thunder Mountain Mobile Park, 12:45 a.m. today near Nancy Street, 3:30 a.m. today near David Street and 4:45 a.m. today near Long Run Drive.
