The River of Glory Church will host a prophetic conference at Centennial Hall with Rev. Dick Mills Sunday through Tuesday, with meetings at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Praise and worship will be led by Dead 2 Self, a visiting band from West Lafayette, Ind.

There is no charge for the meetings and everyone is welcome to attend.

Mills and his wife Betty have traveled together for more than 40 years, speaking in thousands of churches all over the world.

Mills has also appeared on the CBN and TBN television stations, many independent Christian TV stations and radio talk shows. He began his Web site at in 1998.

In 1943 Mills surrendered to his calling as an evangelist, six years after he was visited by the Lord, who asked if he was ready to enter the ministry, he said.

While in the military during World War II, he took a year-long correspondence course from L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles.

After his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1946, Mills trained for three years in daily services at Angelus Temple in Los Angeles before being ordained in 1949 by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.

Mills met and married Betty in 1957 while traveling in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Latin America and Australia.

With six of his nine books in print, Mills has served as an adjunct professor at six Schools of the Bible and seminaries in Australia, England, Canada and the United States.

In 1999, he received an honorary doctorate of divinity from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and an honorary doctorate of sacred theology from Life Christian University.

"Dick has one of the most unique ministries of any man of God I know in the world," said Pat Robertson, president and CEO of CBN. "He has been used of God to bring deep spiritual blessings at crucial times in my own life, and I am sure this is true of tens of thousands of others around the country."

Dick and Betty Mills have a son David and a daughter, Deborah, both in California, and seven grandchildren.
