...for the help.
The Bartlett Hospital Guild would like to take this opportunity to thank the many persons involved with our annual Elementary Art Show and Tea.
For more than 30 years the elementary teachers in the school district, private and home schools have been contributing art to the show. Special thanks to Jean Rogers for coordinating in the early fall with the teachers. The teachers then save artwork over the year and in March the artwork is collected by Jean. A judge is chosen - this year we thank Polly Dewey for selecting 45 art works to hang in Physical Therapy, Medical-Surgical Ward, CCU and the Birthing Center. The artwork hangs for a year and then is returned to the students.
This year something rather unusual and special happened. A patient from California had asked to purchase Ben Payton's painting from the 2001 collection and we have put Ben in contact with the patient. Another drawing from 2001 by Demrie Isaacks had been hanging in the Birthing Center all year. The staff wished to have the drawing in their permanent collection and Demrie was kind enough to donate her work.
The staff, physicians, patients and the Guild thank the following students for loaning us their art for 2002-2003.
