Three churches hold vacation Bible school in July

JUNEAU - Three local churches will host a vacation Bible school entitled "God's Great Gallery: Exploring God's Wonderful Works" from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday July 19. A family potluck barbecue will be held Friday evening.

St. Brendan's Episcopal Church at 4207 Mendenhall Loop Rd. will hold vacation Bible school for children 3 to 5 years of age, Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 9161 Cinema Dr. will teach children ages 6 though 8 and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 4212 Mendenhall Loop Rd. will host children from 9 to 11 years of age.

The vacation Bible school is free, and children will participate in music, games, Bible stories and crafts.

To pre-register, call Aldersgate at 789-4050 and leave a message with the child's name and age and an adult's name and phone number.
