Not convinced about popularity of initiative

Deborah Vogt's comment in Tuesday's paper that ``25 percent of those who voted in the last city election took the opportunity to sign the (flightseeing noise) initiative'' is not only wrong, it is misleading.

Here's another way to look at the numbers: the people who signed the initiative represent less than 10 percent of the registered voters in Juneau. Does this constitute ``a very, very strong feeling in the community?'' I'm not convinced.
