Former Juneau-Douglas High School biology teacher Charles Jurasz holds a vertebra from a humpback whale skeleton he was studying in 1983. Jurasz published a paper called "Jurasz and Jurasz, 1979," which explained his findings on his discovery of humpback whale bubble-net feeding. Jurasz is now teaching in Canada.
