The Juneau Midnight Suns' 14-under softball team won three games in a row on Sunday to capture the Southeast tournament in Sitka.
The Suns' upended Sitka TMW 8-4 in the championship game.
Krista Barril struck out nine batters and scattered four hits to earn the win. She also went 2-for-3 with two runs scored offensively.
Tamra Miller made the last out of the game to seal the championship, squeezing a fly ball in left field. She also had two base hits and two runs scored.
Lill Levale went 2-for-2 with a run scored, Annie Hegar had two hits and a runs cored, Darby Brown scored and added a hit and Aleecia Moss scored a run for the Suns.
Earlier on Sunday, the Suns defeated the Sitka Sentinel 8-3 behind two home runs and a triple from Brown. Kyra Jones and Megan Mauseth each went 2-for-3 in the win.
The Midnight Suns opened play Sunday by beating Ketchikan 12-3.
On Saturday, Juneau fell to Sitka Sentinel 6-3.
In round-robin play on Friday, Jackie Koerpich had two base hits to pace the Suns to a 7-0 win over Sitka Sentinal.
Brown went 2-for-2 with a home run in the win.
