Fairbanks teen arrested in tattoo parlor theft

FAIRBANKS - Authorities arrested a Fairbanks teenager accused of stealing almost $4,000 from a tattoo and piercing studio.

According to the criminal complaint, 18-year-old Thomas Hundt fled from the Airport Way business after reaching over the counter and grabbing the money.

The store owner and an employee later found Hundt at the nearby Chena River Recreation Site. The teen allegedly threw the money at them and tried to run away, but was apprehended by Fairbanks police.

Hundt is being held in Fairbanks Correctional Center on a charge of second-degree theft. His bail is $750.
