The Juneau Minors All-Stars pose for a team photo after winning the 9- and 10-year-olds Alaska District II championship with a 10-0 win over Prince of Wales on Monday. Bryce Swafford and Zeb Storie pitched a one-hitter for Juneau, combining for 13 strikeouts. Juneau held a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Kasey Watts hit a three-run homer to right to lift for a 5-0 lead. Watts scored twice for Juneau. Luke Mallinger had two hits with three RBIs. Storie also doubled and scored twice, while Michael Cesar hit an RBI single and also scored twice. Others scoring for Juneau were Jacob Dale, Donovan McCurley, Niko Herbert and Owen Mendoza. The day ended with a barbecue hosted by the Prince of Wales Little league.
