Ken and Darlene Wicks have returned to Juneau to celebrate their 50th year of marriage. They request that all of their friends please come to an open-house reception from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at 4347 Taku Blvd. The reception will be hosted by their children, Todd and Bobbie Wicks, Martin and Kaye Peters, their grandchildren, Brad and Kristyn Johnson-Peters and Kimber Wicks.
They were married in Springfield, Ore., on July 23, 1955. They moved to Alaska in 1972 to teach school. After many years in the education field, they retired to Hawaii, where they now reside.
