ANCHORAGE - An Alaska State Trooper found himself with an unwanted front passenger after part of a moose crashed into the front seat of his cruiser.
Trooper Shayne Calt was driving Sunday near Talkeetna when a moose darted onto the road in front of him.
The force of the collision sent the hind quarter of the moose into the patrol car. It landed on the floor board of the front passenger side.
Troopers said Calt, 28, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The moose was killed and salvaged by a local charity.
