Kake resident Henrich R. Bean died July 10, 2009, at home in Kake.
Born and raised in Kake, he attended school in Kake and graduate from the Wrangell Institute. He was a World War II veteran and worked for Keku Canning Co. as a fisherman and as a custodian for Kake City Schools.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole L. Jackson, and her children, Christine Bean, Charles Henry, Davina Jackson, Broderick and Becky Jackson, Janelle Jackson and Daryll Shaquanie; daughter, Debra C. Paul and husband, David, and their son, Tyrone; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Camilla Bean, Deandra and Daryll Shaquanie-Jackson, Chas Desmond James, Jaden Scott Jackson, Daniel Harmon and Carl Vincent Kadake; brother, Ronald Bean Sr.; and sister, Ernestine Gray, of Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Kake Community Hall. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Kake Community Hall.
