Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Police arrested Michael James Vuille on a charge of drunken driving at 1:05 a.m. Thursday on Duran Street in the Valley. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.
A BMX-style bicycle, valued at $150, was reported stolen at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway.
A black homemade bicycle, valued at $1,600, was reported stolen at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday somewhere in Juneau.
At 2:32 p.m. Tuesday, state troopers in Juneau received a report of a traffic accident in Angoon that totaled a 1997 Nissan driven by a woman, 53. The woman said she was driving around a curve when the sun momentarily blinded her. She lost control, and the vehicle left the side of the road and rolled over. The woman reported that she was uninjured. Troopers determined that seatbelts were in use and alcohol was not a factor.
Police cited a man, 24, on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday at Riverwood and Riverside drives. The man was driving a 2004 Geo that reportedly struck a 1995 Chevrolet driven by a woman, 59.
Police cited a woman, 32, on a charge of making an illegal left turn at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at Glacier Highway and Trout Street. The woman was driving a 2003 Ford, which reportedly struck a 1998 Toyota, driven by a boy, 16. Damage to the Toyota was estimated at $1,500. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $2,000.
Hit and run:
A man reported at 12:09 p.m. Wednesday that his 1992 Honda was struck by an unknown vehicle Tuesday near West Willoughby Avenue. Damage was reported to the passenger-side door.
Police impounded a vehicle at 11:46 a.m. Thursday near Front Street after citing the driver, a man, 32, on a charge of driving without a license.
Police cited a girl, 15, on a charge of underage drinking at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in the woods near Jordan Creek. They left her in the care of a teen group home. From the same incident, police arrested a girl, 13, on a warrant charging an unspecified misdemeanor. They lodged her at the Johnson Youth Center.
A woman visiting Juneau reported at 4:16 p.m. Thursday that she lost her black wallet downtown. She said the wallet contained $30 and miscellaneous papers.
