ANCHORAGE - Anchorage police say a woman found dead in a park with an apparent stab wound has been identified as 22-year-old Brittini Gilliam.
Police say her body was found shortly before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near a small pond in the Helen Louise McDowell Sanctuary, within municipal park land on the east side of the Seward Highway.
Gilliam had what appeared to be a stab wound to her torso.
The death was first reported by KTUU-TV.
Police say homicide detectives are investigating but the manner of death has not been determined.
