Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

A 42-year-old man was arrested for assault at 10:55 p.m. Monday on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

A 15-year-old boy called at 3:08 p.m. Monday to report that his bicycle had been stolen from under his carport in the Parkshore Condos sometime Monday morning. The bike was unlocked, and is valued at $150.

A 34-year-old man called at 11:54 p.m. Monday to report the theft of his locked red-and-black trek bicycle from Merchants Wharf.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

Officers responded to a report of vandalism at the Juneau Airport at 7:52 a.m. Monday morning. A 1986 Dodge Ram sustained $1,000 damage and a 1995 Ford Ranger sustained $2,000 damage from being moved by a fork lift.

A man called at 10:08 a.m. Monday morning to report two of his vehicles were vandalized on Thursday and Sunday on Thunder Mountain Boulevard. The damage cost $35 to repair.

Animal encounters:

A bear was reported at a Mendenhall Valley school at 8:11 p.m. Monday.

Other:

A 42-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 10:02 p.m. Monday in Auke Bay. He also was charged with disorderly conduct and was taken to state prison.
