Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Siphoning of gasoline from a vehicle was reported at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday near Melrose Street. The gas was siphoned Monday night.

• A green pullover, with $200 in the pocket, a black Jansport backpack and miscellaneous items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday near F Street.

• A white mountain bike with a paw-print design was reported stolen at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday near Glacier Avenue.

• A silver Vaporizer child's bike was reported stolen at 8:19 p.m. Tuesday from a front yard near Forest Lane.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Tuesday at 5:27 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 8:55 p.m. near Montana Creek, and 9:08 p.m. and 9:17 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek. Bears were reported today at 3:55 a.m. near Churchill Way and 4:10 a.m. near Sixth Street.


• Three vehicles were impounded and several citations issued to vehicles for parking where prohibited near the Gastineau Avenue road project at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for vandalizing equipment belonging to Duran Construction. Damage included two broken windshields, a broken passenger window and a dented vehicle hood. Damage is estimated at $3,500.
