JUNEAU - A pre-trial hearing for a Juneau hunting guide and one of his clients who are accused of unlawfully taking a wolf and two black bears is set for 3 p.m. Monday.
Park Myers and Jeffery Peacock were arrested by state troopers in May. Many believe the wolf the pair are accused of taking was Romeo, a beloved attraction in the winter months on the ice of Mendenhall Glacier.
Myers and Peacock were also found to be operating an unlawful bear-baiting site north of Juneau. Peacock was additionally arrested for unsworn falsification, and taking big game in a closed area. Myers also faces charges of taking big game by unlawful methods.
Monday's hearing will be conducted by telephone.
