Save the frosting

The response from New York in regards to my letter was very informative. I do not doubt that Mr. Stevens did a fine job. He was paid to do a fine job. According to the article, $715,000 for salary and bonuses. For a part-time job? He is a lobbyist, plain and simple. I don't think he should be painted with all that "he's wonderful" frosting. The only people to be painted with that brush are the ones who donate their time to the everyday job.

As for the challenge issued by Ms. Gore, I would never presume to make a challenge like that until I knew more about who it was I challenged.
