Thanks for assisting me while I was in Juneau

I was a tourist in your city recently (one of those pesky cruise-ship people). I needed to see a doctor while on vacation (never fun) and needed help.

The people I met in Juneau were wonderful. They took a tourist, lost and in pain, and gave generously of their time and talents.

I needed help locating a doctor, transportation to and from the doctor, locating a pharmacy that would honor an out-of-town plan, getting to and from the pharmacy, and getting back to the ship on time.

Many thanks to the helpful team at the Juneau public library; Andrew Beattie, at Capital Cab, who went above and beyond; Steve, the wonderful pharmacist at Juneau Drug downtown (my hero); and James Wycoff, Bri Pardee and Don Odvina, at the Wal-Mart pharmacy. These people represented your city in the most friendly and caring manner possible. I wanted you to know.
