Movies

``Eating,'' (NR) 8:30 p.m. tonight and 9 p.m. Saturday at the Back Room Cinema. Starting next Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. is ``La Grande Bouffe.'' The July theme is food.

``Gold Town,'' half-hour dramatization about Juneau's earliest days, shows on the hour 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Gold Town Nickelodeon Theater in the Emporium Mall downtown, $5. Call 586-2875. Today all showings benefit KTOO.

``Me, Myself and Irene,'' (R) ends tonight, last shows at 7 and 9:20 at the 20th Century Twin.

``Chicken Run,'' (G) ends tonight, last shows at 6:30 and 8:40 at the Glacier Cinema.

``Pokemon the Movie 2000,'' (G) starts Friday and shows nightly at 6:40 and 8:50 at the Glacier Cinema, with matinees at 1:40 and 3:50 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``What Lies Beneath,'' (PG-13) starts Friday and shows nightly at 7 and 9:30 at the Glacier Cinema, with matinees at 2 and 4:30 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``X-Men,'' (PG-13) shows nightly at 6:50 and 9 at the Glacier Cinema, with matinees at 1:50 and 4 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``Scary Movie,'' (R) shows tonight at 7 and 9:10 at the Glacier Cinema, switching to 7:10 nightly beginning Friday with matinees at 2:10 and 4:10 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``The Patriot,'' (R) shows tonight at 7:10 at the Glacier Cinema, then moves downtown Friday and shows at 7 nightly, with a matinee at 2 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``The Kid,'' (PG) shows nightly at 6:40 and 8:50 at the Glacier Cinema, switching to 6:30 and 8:40 beginning Friday, with matinees at 1:30 and 3:40 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

``The Perfect Storm,'' (PG-13) shows nightly at 6:50 and 9:30 at the 20th Century Twin, with matinees at 1:50 and 4:20 Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Concerts

Dorothy Allen plays the Kimball Theater organ, noon Friday at State Office Building atrium, free. Program of Mendelssohn, other classical pieces, and show tunes.

Concerts in the Park, 7-8:30 p.m., every Friday from June 2 to Aug. 11, free, in Marine Park. This Friday: Twang Man Do (Honky Tonk music); John Lager (Jazz, rock and original songs); Quarter Turn (New, old and in between music).

Mucho Mojo 7 p.m. Saturday at Cafe Myriad, free. Five-person a cappella group; styles include jazz, be bop, gospel and doo-wop.

The Black Irish Band 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at the Hangar on the Wharf; playing the music of Ireland, Italy and America. No cover.

Dance

Juneau International Folk Dancers, No meeting until July 28. Call Judy 586-6237. Now on summer schedule and meeting just once a month, the last Friday of July and August.
