We have a right to criticize

Letter to the editor

Posted: Tuesday, July 20, 2004

With regard to the clamor over the entry criticizing the president in the Fourth of July parade, I quote President Theodore Roosevelt: "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
