Please choose life over death

Letter to the editor

Posted: Wednesday, July 20, 2005

This letter is in response to the letter written by Dr. Emily Kane. I quote from her letter, "Nobody wants to abort a potential life; that's not the issue. The issue is freedom of choice. An unwanted child is a burden on society, on the mother and especially awful for the child."

What a bunch of hogwash. It amazes me how a doctor of naturopathic medicine can promote the killing of innocent life. I was born into a large family of eight children. Being my parents' seventh child, I sure am glad that they had a higher view on life than Dr. Kane. I was not a "planned" child, but I am not a burden on society. I am glad to be alive.

Dr. Kane easily skips over the fact that the majority of women who had their child aborted are later on emotionally damaged because of what they have done. Women can always put their "unwanted" child up for adoption. There are thousands of people who will gladly adopt.

I would like to ask Dr. Kane and all the other pro- abortion minded people to ponder the question at what point their life began. Please chose life over death.
