FAIRBANKS - The managing editor of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner is leaving Alaska for Oklahoma.

The paper announced last week that Kelly Bostian will become the outdoor editor for the Tulsa World in Oklahoma.

He'll be replaced in mid-August by the current assistant managing editor, Rod Boyce, according to News-Miner Publisher Marilyn Romano.

The position is similar to the one he held early in his nearly 23-year journalism career at the News-Miner.
