Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Vehicle accident:

• Police received a report at 3:29 a.m. Thursday that an unknown vehicle struck a road sign at Renninger and Mallard streets in Lemon Creek.


• A 39-year-old woman reported at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday that a Dumpster shed was vandalized in the 9100 block of Cinema Drive.

• A 34-year-old man reported at 8:22 a.m. Thursday that a tire on his rental vehicle was slashed in the 100 block of North Franklin Street.

• A 49-year-old woman reported at 11:14 a.m. Thursday that two tires on her Ford Bronco were slashed sometime during the night in the 300 block of Distin Avenue.


• A red fuel tank was reported stolen from a boat in the 16800 block of Lena Loop at 9:19 a.m. Thursday.

• A white and blue fitted sheet was reported stolen at 11:48 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of South Franklin Street.

Animal encounter:

• Police received reports of individual bears at 1:09 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Granite Drive, at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of David Street, at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Douglas Highway, at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday in the 5900 block of Churchill Court, getting into garbage at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 6000 block of Chatham Drive and with garbage at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday in the 5900 block of Churchill Court.
