JUNEAU - The National Transportation Safety Board says it will meet next week to consider a report on the grounding last year of a cruise ship near Juneau.
The final report on the grounding of the Empress of the North will be the lone item on the board's agenda Tuesday.
The 300-foot cruise ship operated by Majestic America Line struck a charted rock on May 14, 2007, about 20 miles southwest of Juneau.
The paddlewheel vessel was negotiating a turn west out of Lynn Canal into Icy Strait on its way to Glacier Bay.
It struck Rocky Island, which was illuminated by a flashing green navigation light.
The 206 passengers and nonessential crew were evacuated without injuries.
