Airlines' storytelling skills getting better

I was glad to see the article in the Juneau Empire documenting what travelers have known for the past two months. The fact that Alaska Airlines has a monopoly in Southeast Alaska makes air travel even more miserable than it already was now that their service has taken a nose dive (no pun intended).

I know many Juneau residents who make sure they have at least a couple of hours between connecting flights and won't check their luggage because Alaska Airlines is no longer dependable. I love to hear the different excuses they come up with to explain why a loaded plane has been sitting on the ground for two hours; it's good to know that least their storytelling skills have improved.

This would be a great time for a competitor to come in and give Alaska Airlines a run for their money. Maybe then they wouldn't take our business for granted.
