David J. Milton III, 23, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of third-degree assault, stemming from alleged actions of July 7 involving a knife.
Jesse L. Hull, 27, was found guilty of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor and furnishing alcoholic beverages to a person under 21, stemming from events of July 2004, after which he originally faced two additional counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor. Juneau Superior Court Judge Patricia Collins imposed one year to serve in jail with another two years suspended for the sexual abuse charge. She ordered a six-month sentence on the alcohol charge to be served at the same time. Collins also placed Hull on probation for two years, ordered him to pay $130 restitution and maintain sex-offender registration for 15 years after his release.
Ian Patterson, 22, was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree theft, stemming from a Sept. 7, 2004, incident originally charged as felony second-degree theft. Prosecutors dismissed two additional felony counts of second-degree forgery. Collins imposed four months to serve in jail with another eight months suspended and placed Patterson on probation for three years. She also ordered him to pay $2,765 in restitution. Patterson also was found guilty of failing to appear for a Nov. 10, 2004, court appearance and violating his probation sentence for a 2002 case in which he was found guilty of second-degree theft and fourth-degree assault. Collins an additional six months for failing to appear and reinstated six months originally suspended in the 2002 case.
Robert D. Brown, 34, was found guilty of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, stemming from a May 7 incident at which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .196 percent. Collins imposed 20 days to serve in jail with another 80 days suspended and a $3,000 fine. She also placed Brown on probation for one year and revoked his driver's license for one year. Prosecutors dismissed an additional charge of reckless endangerment.
Robert G. Hooper, 49, was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol, stemming from a July 14 incident from which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .147 percent. Juneau District Judge Keith Levy imposed 30 days in jail with another 90 days suspended and a $1,500 fine. He also placed Hooper on probation for three years and revoked his license for 90 days.
Joshua C. Worrell, 23, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from an April 16 incident from which his blood-alcohol level was measured at .243 percent. Levy imposed 25 days to serve in jail with another 75 days suspended and a $3,000 fine. He also placed Worrell on probation for two years and revoked his license for one year.
Theresa L. Roberts, 37, was found guilty of driving under the influence, stemming from a June 20 incident from which her blood-alcohol level was measured at .138 percent. Levy imposed three days to serve in jail with another 30 days suspended and ordered him to pay $1,500 of a $3,000 fine with the rest suspended. Levy also placed Roberts on probation for 18 months and revoked her license for 90 days.
