FAIRBANKS - A federal jury has convicted a Barrow man on drug possession and firearms charges.
The jury convicted 39-year-old Jerry Lee Donovan of one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and one count of being a felon in possession of firearms.
Government prosecutors say Donovan had meth when law enforcement officers executed a search warrant Dec. 8, 2004, at his home.
Prosecutors say the meth was packaged in individual bindles and straws for sale.
Officers also found numerous firearms, which he is prohibited from owning because of two previous felony convictions.
Donovan faces up to 10 years in prison and a $2 million fine when he's sentenced Oct. 10.
