FAIRBANKS - Officials have closed a summer program at Joy Elementary school in Fairbanks after three students showed flu-like symptoms.
The extended school year program that started last month for about 250 students ended Monday, three days early.
The district says three students had fevers and sore throats. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports tests did not immediately indicate whether they had swine flu.
The state Department of Health and Social Services reports there have been 218 swine flu cases in Alaska.
