Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

James Lefebvure, 46, was arrested at 11 a.m. Saturday near Willoughby Avenue for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts and burglaries:

A man reported at 3 p.m. Saturday from Back Loop Road that someone entered his home and took three cameras and $500 in cash.

A woman reported at 6:45 a.m. Sunday from Taku Boulevard the theft of a face plate of an Alpine stereo from a locked vehicle.

A woman reported at 11 a.m. Sunday from Glacier Avenue the theft of a black and red purse from her unlocked vehicle.

A woman reported at 11:15 a.m. Sunday from Fritz Cove Road the theft of a black and brown crocodile print purse and wallet valued at $375.

A man reported at 11:45 a.m. Sunday from Glacier Highway the theft of a portable CD player and two watches from his locked vehicle Friday night or Saturday morning.

A man reported at 1 p.m. Sunday from Cross Street the theft of a black leather briefcase, Palm Pilot and Nokia cell phone valued together at $309.

A woman, 33, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street for shoplifting. She was lodged at state prison.

A man reported at 9:30 p.m. Sunday from Albatross Court the theft of a Kenwood CD/radio valued at $400 from his vehicle.

Vehicle accidents:

A woman, 34, was cited for failure to yield, following a two-vehicle accident at 9:20 a.m. Sunday near Stephen Richards Drive and Riverside Drive. The woman, driving a Chevy Blazer, struck a Chevy Lumina driven by a man, 51. The Blazer had $1,500 damage. The Lumina had $2,500 damage.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported at 11:15 p.m. Saturday near Gail Avenue, 11:30 p.m. Saturday near Teel Court, 12:45 a.m. Sunday near Marsha Avenue, 1:30 a.m. Sunday near Linda Avenue, 2:15 a.m. Sunday near Haffner Court, 4:30 a.m. Sunday near Willoughby Avenue, 5:45 a.m. today near Gail Avenue and 6:15 a.m. today at Gastineau Avenue.


A green Jansport backpack was turned in to the police at 12:30 p.m. Saturday from Julep Street.

A woman, 41, was cited at 11 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway for driving with a revoked license. She was released, and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Juneau fish and wildlife troopers reported Saturday that they cited a Juneau man, 41, on July 10 for commercial fishing with a salmon drift gillnet in closed waters. Arraignment is scheduled in Juneau District Court on Aug. 9.
