Sunday's softball tournament opener was pushed back to 6 p.m. today, with the rest of the best-of-three-game series between Juneau's Gastineau Channel Little League Senior All-Stars and Dimond-West shifting back a day. The second game of the series will now take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, with an if-necessary game set for 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Sunday's baseball championship game between undefeated Valdez and once-beaten Juneau was postponed to 6 p.m. today, with an if-necessary game to take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday if Juneau should win tonight's game. If today's game needs to be postponed, baseball tournament director Ann Foster said they'd try to squeeze in a doubleheader on Tuesday. The tournament winner has airline reservations for Wednesday morning to Vancouver, Wash., where the West Division tournament takes place starting on Thursday.
