Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Roger Cleveland, 68, was arrested for drunken driving at 1:30 a.m. today near Second Street and Franklin Street. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

• CDs were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 7:22 a.m. Monday near Lemon Street. The CDs were valued at $200.

• A Mindland CB radio was reported stolen from a vehicle at 11:57 a.m. Monday near Lemon Street.

• A black Mountain bike was reported stolen at 12:59 p.m. Monday from an undisclosed location.

• A woman's taupe mountain bike was reported stolen at 1:58 p.m. Monday near Mendenhall Loop Road.

• A Honda 5-horsepower, push-blade mower and a black and green Black and Decker line trimmer were reported stolen at 2:05 p.m. Monday from the Evergreen Cemetery.

• A black and blue Nokia cell phone was reported stolen from a jacket pocket at 2:57 p.m. Monday near Northwood Drive.

• A portable CD player was reported stolen at 6:55 p.m. Monday from Montgomery Street.

Vehicle accidents:

• Two people were taken to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries during a three-vehicle accident at 12:10 p.m. Monday near Loop Road. A 1987 Jeep Wagoneer, driven by a woman, 34, struck a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a girl, 17. The Cherokee then struck a 2002 Ford Windstar, driven by a man, 40.

Police cited the 34-year-old woman for negligent driving. She and a man who was a passenger in the Cherokee were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police did not know the man's age.

The Windstar and the Cherokee sustained $500 damage each and the Wagoneer sustained $200.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Monday at 7:11 a.m. near the McNugget intersection, 6:08 p.m. near South Franklin Street, 8:42 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 9:17 p.m. near Mill Street, 9:48 near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek and 10:42 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.

A bear was reported at 1:52 a.m. today near Second Street and H Street.
