Thank you, Marc Wheeler, for supporting the idea of buying locally, but as well as townspeople, Assembly members play a huge role in the process.
How about our Assembly members changing parking downtown for the equal benefit of everyone in town. Meters and marked spaces or two-hour parking for the price of a newly charged $25 ticket are just two ideas. Who can park and eat lunch let alone go shopping in an hour for the cost of a ticket?
Isn't a shipping charge on a catalog or internet order equal to a new parking ticket charge? Just an idea from a longstanding downtown merchant who has directly been affected by Assembly decisions for the last 15 years.
