The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council will host a weekly artists' outdoor market beginning this Saturday on the lawn in front of the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. The fair will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays through Aug. 24.
"We're just jumping into it because we think its a great idea and its something that's been lacking in town," said JAHC's Kari Groven. "We anticipate that its going to grow."
All work is handcrafted by Alaskan artists. This week's booths include jewelry, handmade soaps and candles, rag rugs and more.
