Teller man charged in baby's death

ANCHORAGE - Alaska State Troopers say a 35-year-old Teller man has been arrested on murder charges in the death of his 7-month-old son.

Frank "Punchy" Lee was arrested Tuesday on a $100,000 arrest warrant charging him with first- and second-degree murder in the baby's death last fall. He remained in custody Wednesday in Nome.

The child, Harley Dickson, was flown from Teller to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage last Oct. 12. Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said the baby died the next day after he was removed from life support.

Peters said the baby showed "classic signs of shaken baby syndrome."

A grand jury in Nome indicted Lee on the murder charges last week.
