Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A woman 48, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Monday near Muir Street on two counts of assault. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


Police arrested a man, 27, at 1 a.m. today near Trout Street for concealment of merchandise. He was released.

Vehicle accidents:

A woman, 54, was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance, following an accident at 11:30 a.m. Monday near Willoughby Avenue. The woman, driving a Chevy Caprice, struck a Toyota pickup driven by a man, 44. The Chevy had $3,000 damage.

A woman, 41, was given a verbal warning for following too closely, after a two-vehicle accident at 8 a.m. on Monday. The woman, driving a Dodge, rear-ended a Ford pickup driven by a man, 24. The Dodge had $1,500 damage and the truck $500.

Animal encounters:

Fish and Game responded to a bear report at 8:15 a.m. Monday near Ash Street. Police responded to bear reports at 11:32 a.m. Monday at the Kodzoff Acres Mobile Home Park, 11:30 p.m. Monday near Lakeview Court, 1:20 a.m. today near Gastineau Avenue, and at 4 a.m. today near Birch Lane.


A woman, 18, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Monday in Pocket Park on an outstanding Juneau troopers warrant for failing to appear at an arraignment. She was lodged at state prison.

A man, 20, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Monday near Front Street on an outstanding Sitka police warrant. He was lodged at state prison.
