July 23-24: Juneau Cup Race, Round 4, Auke Bay to Funter Bay. Skippers meeting will be held at 800 hours at the Statter Harbor Masters Office.

July 24: Juneau Junior Golf Club - One Club Championship Golf Tournament, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Mendenhall Golf Course. $30 fee benefits junior golf. Details: Gary, 789-5789.

July 26-28: Alaska Department of Fish and Game hunter education course, 6-9:30 p.m., Juneau Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range, adjacent to the Juneau Gun Club. All persons interested must purchase at $10 packet of study materials at the Douglas office of ADF&G or at the JHEF (Juneau Hunter Education Firing range). July 29: Diamond Park Short Course Mountain Bike Race, 10 a.m., Dredge Lake Road entrance. Details: Glacier Cycles, 789-7050.

July 30: Wes Coyner Memorial Duathlon, 9 a.m., False Outer Point Recreational Area. 2-mile run, 16-mile bike, 2-mile run. Details: Reed, 463-3223.

July 30: Salmon, nutrients and muskeg walk, 9 a.m., Switzer Creek, trail head on Central Road. Leader is Brenda Wright. Sponsored by Juneau Audubon Society.

July 31: High Power rifle and Sporting rifle shoot, 8:30 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. Shoot, Hank Harmon Rifle Range.

Aug. 6: Frank Maier Marathon and Douglas Half-Marathon, Savikko Park, Douglas. 26.2 or 13.1 miles. Details and times: Bob, 586-6200.

Aug. 7: Steel Plate Handgun Speed shoot, 9 a.m. registration, Hank Harmon Rifle Range.

Aug. 13: Treadwell Twosome Traverse, 9 a.m., Savikko Park/Sandy Beach, Douglas. 5K. Same course for both runners, but in opposite directions. Details: Paul, 586-6709, or Guy, 463-8442.
