Pictured above is Pam and David Bergerson's garden in Juneau in a photo taken earlier this week. The Southeast Master Gardeners are sponsoring garden tours on Aug. 4 and 5 at locations around Juneau. Tours will be conducted from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Gardeners will be available at each location to talk with those on the tour. Tickets for the tour will cost $10. The money raised will be used to sponsor an annual scholarship given to one or more graduating seniors from area high schools who are interested in studies in horticulture, botany or related fields. This year, scholarships worth $1,500 were awarded. The tours are self-guided and those attending the tours are asked to car--pool if possible in order to keep down the number of cars at each location. Bring your purchased ticket on Saturday and Sunday to either the Bill Ray Center or the Cooperative Extension Service Office at Vintage Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pick up maps for the garden locations. Tickets may be bought there or at Hearthside Books.
