Clarification

Due to a reporter's error, Wednesday's article on voter registration didn't make clear that voters can register for the Nov. 5 general election up to 30 days before it. The Sunday deadline in the article refers to registering for the Aug. 27 primary. Also, the article didn't make clear that the names of voters registered as nonpartisan, undeclared or "other" are public information, but their choice of party ballots in the primary election will remain private.
