Juneau's Gastineau Channel Little League All-Stars show off the District 2 Majors Division (Age 11-12) tournament banner they won Tuesday in Ketchikan. The GCLL All-Stars head to Fairbanks for the state tournament this weekend; in a change from the originally announced schedule, their first game will be at 4 p.m. Saturday against North Star Little League of Fairbanks. Juneau's Koko Urata does a back flip after being boosted in the air by duet partner Sarah Felix (top of head visible) on July 16 at the 2003 United Airlines Open in Federal Way, Wash.

Urata and Felix, both 13 and swimming for the Juneau Aurora Knights team, finished 15th out of 64 teams in the junior duet preliminaries at the international meet. Their score - 79.167 points - was just 1.166 points short of qualifying for the finals. In the junior division figures preliminaries on July 15, Urata finished 115th and Felix was 139th out of 284 competitors.
