Mary Kay McNaughton doesn't let a thundershower prevent her from making her way Saturday to a downtown coffee shop. The tempest was caused by an upper-level low moving slowly through the northern half of the Panhandle. A cold pool of air aloft and unusually high dew points at the surface combined to create an unstable atmosphere that was conducive to locally rare thunderstorm development.
