Thanks for supporting Juneau Youth Football League cheerleaders
Eleven Juneau Youth Football League Cheerleaders recently attended three days of cheer camp, July 14-16, in Wasilla. Girls worked one full day at the Denali gym, working on stunts and tumbling. Then they attended two full days of UCA cheer camp learning and perfecting motions, cheers, chants, dance and stunting.
The cheerleaders raised money to attend camp by selling 600 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts over the Fourth of July, two car washes and several 50/50s at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall Bingo.
We couldn't have attended camp if it wasn't for the community support. A special thanks to the following who helped us reach our fundraising goal: Alaska Airlines Air Cargo, Air Excursions, Valley Auto Parts/Parts Plus, ANB, Tracy Oldacker, of Wasilla, and Gloria Brewer, of Wasilla.
Come see us at the first home game of the season on Aug. 16, and bring your Crimson spirit!
