AWARE will partner with Juneau's own Carlos Boozer to host activities for Alaska Men Choose Respect. The group will gather for a summer celebration and keynote address at 5:30 p.m. on August 4 at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School play area and the Juneau community is invited. This event will be an evening of basketball, barbeque, music and identifying different ways men and boys can make a difference and prevent interpersonal violence in Juneau. Sports coaches are also invited to receive training, curricula and prevention tool kits for the implementation of Coaching Boys into Men into their sports teams. Boozer, AWARE Staff and members of DELTA's prevention team will be offering this training later in the evening. Along with these events, Boozer will be implementing Coaching Boys into Men into his camp.

Coaching Boys into Men is a strength-based program from the Family Violence Prevention Fund which recognizes the power and role of a coach. Coaching Boys into Men looks to coaches to create and support strong leadership, challenging concepts of inequality and gender stereotypes and in lieu, bringing a message of respect, strength and equality through incorporating a simple curriculum into their sports season.
