FAIRBANKS - Three Alaska residents have been indicted by a federal grand jury on felony charges stemming from an attempt to import nearly 4 1/2 pounds of cocaine.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that the grand jury on Friday indicted 24-year-old Thomas Emmanuel Walker and 24-year-old Stacey Nicole Steinmuller, both of Fairbanks, on charges of importing drugs and intent to distribute. Jurors indicted 20-year-old Tyronne Gee Burkhead, of North Pole, on an intent to distribute charge.
The three were arrested April 15 in Fairbanks after State Troopers were tipped that a package containing the cocaine had been mailed from Panama City, Panama.
