Drugs:

The Southeast Alaska Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Tony Davis, 26, Tuesday on Glendale Street after officers saw evidence of cocaine and marijuana in his apartment. Davis is charged with drug distribution, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday near South Franklin Street, 7:52 a.m. on Wednesday near Sleepy Court, 9:15 a.m. Wednesday near West Willoughby Avenue, 4:56 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Cinema, 5:20 p.m. Wednesday near Auke Bay Bible Church, 10:42 p.m. Wednesday above South Franklin Street near Amaradillo Tex-Mex Cafe, 11:05 p.m. Wednesday near Aspen Avenue. A mother bear and her two cubs were reported at 8:16 p.m. Wednesday near Hayes Way.

Fish and Wildlife officers responded at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday to a car hitting a bear near Glacier Highway and Swampy Acres. Both bear and driver left the scene before police arrived.

Other:

A woman, 20, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. Wednesday near Vanderbilt Hill Road for an outstanding Juneau troopers warrant. She was lodged at the state prison.

A man, 40, was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Wednesday on an outstanding Juneau police warrant. He was lodged at the state prison.
