Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Richard Leroy Maloney, 63, was arrested for drunken driving at 4:44 p.m. Thursday near Old Dairy Road. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Thefts:
Two purple Huffy bikes were reported stolen at 11:24 a.m. Thursday from Aspen Avenue. They were stolen from the driveway of a home during the night.
A Nokia cell phone was reported stolen at 7:27 p.m. Thursday from Whittier Street.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
Three portable toilets in Juneau were reported vandalized at 10:28 a.m. Thursday.
Several buildings in the Commercial Boulevard area were reported spray-painted around 3:30 a.m. today. Police did not have damage estimates.
A rock thrown through a glass door was reported at 5:41 a.m. today from Glacier Avenue. Estimated damage is $400.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Thursday at 7:07 a.m. near Fourth Street and Harris Street, 10:15 a.m. near Dixon Street, 4:15 p.m. near A Street, 5:37 p.m. near Fourth Street, 7:39 p.m. near Switzer Village in Lemon Creek, 8:44 p.m. near the airport wetlands, 9:01 p.m. near the airport wetlands and today at 4:41 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road and Kodzoff Street.
Other:
A man reported at 9:49 a.m. Thursday from the Juneau Yacht Club that someone had made a mark on the floor with a mop and bleach and took about $6 and a six-pack of beer.
