Bush, Rove shouldn't get away with lying

My mother taught me that lies beget more lies. Let us hope that Karl Rove's are the last of a series of lies that started with Bush telling the country in the State of the Union that Iraq planned to buy nuclear grade uranium from West Africa. This lie was the reason we went to war in the first place.

Valerie Plame's husband told the Bush administration there was no uranium sale planned months before the war started. Thousands have been killed in a war that we initiated because Bush told us Iraq had WMDs. Bush knew otherwise.

Rove leaked the identity of uncover CIA Valerie Plame as petty revenge because her husband told the truth and did not back the plan Bush cooked up to start a war. Later, Bush promised to fire those responsible for the leak and he has broken that promise.

Though Rove doesn't deny leaking Plame's identity to the press, his story doesn't match those of two well-respected reporters. Rove's actions were a breach of national security, extremely negligent, and most likely illegal. We should not let Bush or Rove get away with lying to us.
